William (Bill) Edwin Conley finished his journey June 24, 2017 at the age of 86. Born February 21, 1931 in Melon, WI, to Lloyd and Ramah (Beals) Conley. He was the eldest of 3 sons. Bill spent his youth in Wisconsin & Iowa, in the Amana Colonies, where he learned to farm at a young age. When he moved to Michigan, he married Beverly Black in 1950. He ran the Marcellus Garden Center for many years in addition to working in the maintenance department for 44 years at Eckrich prior to his retirement. Bill was preceded in death by his wife Beverly Conley; his parents; and a brother Robert Conley. Surviving are his three sons Bill Jr. (Sharon) Conley, Don (Brenda) Conley, Dennis (Kristen) Conley; 6 grandkids and 8 great-grandkids; and a brother Delmore (Lorna) Conley. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Wednesday, June 28 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
