Of Kalamazoo Waneta passed away Sunday morning, July 31, 2011 at her home with her family by her side. She was born October 8, 1926 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Frank and Emma Taylor Cook. She was united in marriage to Robert W. Price, Jr. on July 26, 1945. Waneta was employed by The Shakespeare Company for over 30 years until her retirement. Surviving are her 2 daughters, Linda L. Price of North Lake and Elaine Roy Norcross of Lakeshore; four grandchildren, Marie Brian Gott, Hope Heritz, Christy Mike Wolkwitz; 5 great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Brian II, Lily, Alexa, and Max; three sisters, Helen Watson of Kalamazoo, Doris Winkler of Vicksburg, and Naomi Deckard Cook of Florida; one brother, Grant "Bud" Cook of Pine Lake; numerous nieces and nephews; and her pets, Sammy Sunshine and Buddy. Preceding her in death were her husband of 43 years, Robert Price, Jr.; her parents; and one brother, Carl Cook. Funeral services for Waneta will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with Rev. James Dyke officiating. Interment will follow in Alamo Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6-8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
