Of Kalamazoo Walter Harold Breyer, III, 54, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center after a short illness. Mr. Breyer was born March 2, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Mrs. Susan B. Horne of Kalamazoo and Mr. Walter H. Breyer, Jr. Judith of Chapel Hill, NC. He is survived by his parents, his former wife, Marcella Breyer of Kalamazoo, and his son, Andrew F. Breyer of Ann Arbor. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Irving A. Horne. He is survived by his sisters, Rebecca Schmidt Russell of St. Charles, MO and Robin Gerin David of Commack, NY, his nieces, Karen Groves Rev. Michael of Fort Collins, CO and Emily Menz Rev. Andrew of Coloma, nephew David Gerin II of Commack, NY, and a great nephew, Henry Menz of Coloma. A graduate of Delton Kellogg High School and Western Michigan University, Mr. Breyer worked for the Upjohn Company and Breyer and Company of Kalamazoo. A memorial service will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo on Friday, May 6 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. www.langelands.com
