Virginia passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the age of 83. She was born July 12, 1932 in Roseville, MI to the late David and Irene (Dodt) Schoenfeldt, Sr. Virginia was united in marriage to Harvey Lauer who preceded her in death in May of 2002. Virginia is survived by her children, Wally (Julie) Lauer and Russell (Peg) Lauer; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Sue Lauer, Ruth Spiewak, Dick Schoenfeldt and David J. Schoenfeldt. The family will greet friends on Thursday, November 5th from 5-6:30pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, where a funeral service will take place at 6:30pm. Burial will take place Friday, November 6th, 10:00am in Clinton Grove Cemetery, Garden Chapel, Mt. Clemens, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice Care Of SW Michigan or to St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Portage, MI.
