Thurlyne Dee Boehme passed away in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Sunday evening, December 13, 2020 from complications of Covid-19.

Thurlyne was born July 25, 1929 in Waukomis, Oklahoma to the late Dr. Merle Cannon and Daisy (Jung) Cannon. She attended Waukomis Schools and Oklahoma State University. She married the late James (Jim) Boehme on September 15, 1950 with whom she was married for 64 years until his passing. She was a dedicated military wife, living in Europe and throughout the USA until Jim retired from the military with a new job landing them in Kalamazoo.

Thurlyne was a Christian and a member of the Second Reformed Church. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends prior to moving to Friendship Village. Her hobbies included genealogy, sewing, reading and volunteer work with Rose Arbor. She loved watching sports on TV and was an avid fan of Oklahoma University Sooners.

She is survived by two sons, Richard (Mary Helen) and Mark (Susan), four grandchildren Andrew, Joshua, Molly (Colin) and Simon, one great grandchild, Shane. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her brother Gary.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private family graveside memorial service will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Second Reformed Church, 2323 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49008.
