Terry J. Cole

December 15, 1943 — March 13, 2021

Shelbyville

Passed away Saturday March 13, 2021 at his home. Terry was born December 15, 1943 in Kalamazoo, the son of Donald and Verlina (Bickle) Cole. Terry was a family man and who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends. He was also an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and boating. He loved going up North to The Soo Locks, Sault Ste. Marie and watch the ships come in. But his true passion was getting his hands dirty. He was a mechanic by heart and he loved fixing and working on cars and tractors, prior to his retirement.

He was known for telling jokes and sending humorous cards. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh and smile. But his day would not be complete without his coffee, oh how he loved his coffee.

Terry is survived by his children, Doug (Carol) Cole, Denise Nelsen, Kim (Doug) Jones, Todd Cole; four grandchildren, Sean Cole, Trever and Tayler Nelsen, Ceyth Jones; brother-in-law, Jim Werner; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Donald; infant grand-daughter, Stephanie Cole; brothers Craig and Rodney Cole, and his sister Cheryl Werner. Cremation has taken place and interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery at a later date.
