Stephen Robert Swank

Stephen Robert "Just Steve" Swank passed away peacefully on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the age of 51. He was born June 3, 1969 in Kalamazoo to Welty and Marcia Swank. Steve was a happy and fun-loving person who made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed bowling and he continued to bowl on his Wii game system even after he could not physically bowl anymore. Steve also liked Shania Twain music, Coca Cola, finding the meaning of words in the dictionary, McDonalds, and writing. He especially enjoyed his job at KRESA Print Center, where he worked for over 15 yrs. Steve loved to celebrate his birthday. He always celebrated with red, white, and blue decorations and blueberry cheesecake, since his birthday was so close to the 4th of July. His father, Welty Swank, preceded Steve in death. Surviving Steve are his mother; Marcia Swank, one sister; Gayle (Eugene) Reyes, one niece; Eryka Swank, special family members; Joey (Shardae) Chambers, and many cousins. He is also survived by his dog; Haylee, and his cat; Ivan. The family would like to thank all the nurses, doctors, and caregivers who took such amazing care of Stephen over the years and for helping to give him the best quality of life these last years. There will be no services at this time. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan, in Stephen's name.
