Sandra Kay Hite

HITE, SANDRA KAY Sandra Kay Hite, 67, passed away on Sunday February 26, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Hite and her father, Vernon O. Ray. She is survived by her mother, Pauline H. Ray, siblings Donna Rourke, Tommy Smith, and Duane Smith. Her children, Tina Emmons, Tammy Peterson, and Rick Hite. Her grandchildren Roxanne, Rhonda, Jennifer, James II, Jared, Alicia, Troy, Cody, and Alexis. Great Grandchildren Chance, Kira, Ramsey, Kenny, and Helena. Along with other extended family and many close friends. She enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, being Jeff Gordon's biggest fan, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, singing to her favorite Bon Jovi songs, trips to the cabin up north, camping trips, bowling, going to the casino, movie nights, and shopping trips with family and friends. During the last few months of her life, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy and enlightened her life. We will all miss her dearly. Visitation and Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 5th. Visitation will start at 9:30 am followed by funeral services at 12:00 pm noon at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. There has been a Sandra K. Hite Memorial Fund set up at all PNC bank locations to help with funeral arrangements.
