Kalamazoo, MI Passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Bronson Commons in Mattawan. Age 76. Ruth was born in Gaylord, MI on February 27, 1939, the daughter of the late Richard Zang and Lavina Greenman Zang. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening and bird watching. She was married to Edward J. Blair, who preceded her in death. She was married to Paul Robert Ward, who also preceded her in death. Ruth is survived by two children, Carleen L. Brian Burns and Paula R. Gustafson; five grandchildren, Jessica C. Gehrman, Tiffany J. Trevor Galbraith, Travis P. Burns, Robert P. Gustafson and Brandon A. Burns; one great-grandchild, Addison Galbraith; one sister-in-law, Mary Lee Paul Wiltse; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Jayne Ward; one grandson, Ben Gehrman; and one sister and one brother, Shirley and Chester Zang . Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering to celebrate Ruth's life will take place from 1 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the clubhouse at Saddlebrook Farms, 5053 S. 4th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
