SUMNER, Ruth Eileen
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away Sunday evening, February 2, 2014 at her residence. Eileen was born May 27, 1939 in Columbia City, IN the daughter of Paul and Pauline Gardner Thomas. Eileen loved to fish, do word searches, play video games and horses. On November 2, 1985 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Ron who survives. Also surviving is her daughter Kathy Boyer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Gerald and Lowell. There will be no visitation. A memorial service to celebrate Eileen's life will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, February 9, at the Cross Community Church of the Nazarene, 5625 Oakland Dr. Private interment will be at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick.
