Ronald Steven Boelman, age 68, passed away June 4, 2020 at Alamo Nursing Home in Alamo Township. Ron was born September 4, 1951 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Steven and Shirley (Timmerman) Boelman and was a lifelong area resident. On December 26, 2004, he was united in marriage to Sandra (Timmerman) Boelman. For over 30 years he was employed as a carpenter with VanDam & Kruisinga Builders. Ron was an excellent woodworker and craftsman. He especially loved golfing, actually residing near the 9th hole of Crestview Golf Course. Ron and Sandra enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years.

Surviving are his wife: Sandra Boelman; children: Jessica (Brent) Higgins, Scott Boelman; his parents: Steve and Shirley Boelman; grandchildren: Logan, Jordan and Dylan Higgins; step-daughter: Andrea (Brian) Cramsey; step-grandchildren: Zakary, Taylor and Jake; two brothers: Gordie (Judy) Boelman and Tom Boelman; nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

In accordance with Ron's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service to Celebrate Ron's Life will be held at a later date to be announced. Memorials in Ron's memory may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center, or a charity of your choice.
