Passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, age 82. Roger was born in Chicago, Illinois on October 2, 1935, the son of the late Charles Wesley Sexton and Winifred Irene Hoyt Sexton. He was a graduate of Western Michigan University, where he received his Bachelors Degree. He was employed as a teacher for the St. Joseph Public School System, retiring after 31 years of service. He attended Northbridge Community Church. Among his hobbies and interests, he enjoyed bowling and golfing. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-three years, Phyllis Anne (Rendel) Sexton, with whom he was united in marriage on September 2, 1955. He is survived by their four children, Gary (Susan) Sexton of Youngstown, OH, Russell (Leah) Sexton of Gladstone, MI, David (Carla) Sexton of Kalamazoo and Sheri (Michael) Jones of Kalamazoo; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Gayle Dunston of Seattle, WA and one brother, Hoyt (Eileen) Sexton of Cedar Hill, TX. He was preceded in death by one brother, Harlow Sexton. According to Roger's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no public service or visitation.
