Roberta Irene Granger, age 91, passed away April 12, 2016 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Roberta was born October 24, 1924 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Clarence and Gertrude (Lieter) Leppen. She was a resident of Kalamazoo most of her life and had been employed at Don's Card Hut and the Teacher's Center. She was a member of the Oakwood Bible Church and was a volunteer for Senior Companion Program for many years. On October 4, 1942 she was united in marriage to Ford Granger who preceded her in death on April 23, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son David Granger in 2005; her twin brother Robert Leppen in 1997; her sister Violet Pio in 1985 her granddaughter Tammy Uithoven in 1991 and her grandson Ford Robert Granger in 2005. Surviving are her son Ford Lee (Margo) Granger; five grandchildren Mark, Krisstina and Jeffrey Granger, Everna Salisbury and Edward Mosier and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, April 17th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. where a service to celebrate Roberta's life will be held 11:00 AM Monday April 18th with Pastor Bill Kiewiet officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials in Roberta's memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
