Passed away peacefully December 2nd, 2020. Bob was the fifth of six children born to Burnice and Mildred Robbins on June 19, 1931. On November 23, 1968 he was united in marriage to Carol Zinn. Bob Served in the Army during the Korean War. After returning home he went to work for Southland Paper Company, later named James River Paper Company, where he retired from after more than 30 years of employment. Bob enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling, going to casinos, and spending time up north at their cabin at Wolf Lake. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Carol; grandson, Nicolas Kinsey; brother, Clayton Robbins; and sisters, Yvonne Richards, Beverly Gross and Wanda Taylor. Surviving are his stepdaughter, Deborah (Barry) Price; daughter, Leann (Martin) Kinsey IV; Sister, Helen Newton; grandsons, Martin Kinsey V and Andrew Kinsey along with several favorite nieces and nephews.
We also want to thank the caring staff at Park Place Assisted Living and Kindred Hospice who treated him like their family.
Cremation has taken place and Bob will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Park Place Assisted Living or Kindred Hospice of Portage.
