Richard Leon Farrington, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on March 21, 1936 in Battle Creek, MI a son of James and Margaret (Paul) Farrington. Richard served in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in October of 1964. He retired as a station manager for Total Petroleum. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert and a sister Shirley. On October 9, 1982 he married the former Sharon Sincler, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Richard (Carol) Sieting and Bobby (Michelle) Sieting; five grandchildren, Daloma (Christopher) Poe, Ashley Sieting, Bobby Sieting, Jared (Jen) VanLoo and Jeremy (Kaleena) VanLoo; five great-grandchildren, Todd, Izabell, Skye, Jazmyne and Ryan; a cousin and his wife, James Patrick & Sandra Jones; and his Miniature Schnauzer, "Charlie". Visitation will be held 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Monday, July 11th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Services will be held 11:30am Tuesday, July 12th at the funeral home with Pastor Dean Sanford officiating. Burial in Ft. Custer National Cemetery will follow services. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
