Rex Brockway passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Rose Arbor; Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017. He lived in the Portage and Vicksburg area. He graduated in the class of 1949 Vicksburg High School. Rex worked as a plasterer for 25 years. He then worked for Lakeside Refinery for 30 years. Rex married Pat Rumlow from Oshkosh, WI. They were married 66 years. He loved living at Indian lake and Tucson, AZ where they spent their winters. Surviving is his wife, Pat two daughters, Sandra Van Dyke and her husband, Matt, and Cheryl Brockway. Two grandsons, Trevor Stefanick and wife Nancy, and Cris Stefanick. Three Great Grandsons, Jack, Will and Teddy Stefanick, One brother in law, Carl Rumlow of Oshkosh, WI. Rex was preceded in death by his son Rex Dana Brockway. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place later in the Spring.
