He was united in marriage to Marlene Szulski Houck for over 10 years having five children. Similar to his father, Raymond enlisted in the U.S. Army in his early twenties and served during the tail end of World War II until honorably discharged. Raymond loved famous quotes. A memorial service was held Friday, January 3, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan.
