WINTEROWD, Randall E.
of Kalamazoo
Randy passed away peacefully on Monday evening, August 28, 2017 at his home. He was born on July 13, 1954 in Wallace, Idaho, the son of the late Eugene and Verda (Osterhout) Winterowd. Randy enlisted into the US Army, where he served 20 years until his retirement in 1992. He then worked as Director for Kalamazoo County Department of Buildings and Grounds, until his retirement in 2016. On July 7, 2007, he was married to Jo Winterowd, who survives. Also surviving are five children: Brandy (Dave) Deubler, Trevor (Cassie) Winterowd, Tony Ruelas, Juan (Laura) Ruelas and Branden (Sarah) Ruelas; 13 grandchildren (Trent, Ciera, Pedro, Frannie, Skyler, Maya, Anya, Sawyer, Taya, Malachi, Berkley, Jesse, and Jayden); 7 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Dalvin (Jamie) Winterowd and Sharon 'Ray' (Judy) Winterowd; sister: Noreen Love; former spouse: Barbara Shade; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his son: Jake Winterowd in 1991 and his sister: Maida Pollard. All are welcome to attend the committal service with military honors to be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 6, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta. Those wishing to attend should arrive in the cemetery cortege area between 10:45-11:00 AM. Immediately following the services, friends are invited for a time of food and fellowship at Northeastern Baptist Church, 6536 E. G Avenue, Kalamazoo. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center for veteran therapy or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements were entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes.
