MILLER, Paul H.
Of Scotts, Michigan Paul went home to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday evening, November 11, 2010 at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. He was born August 10, 1934 in Sharon, PA, the son of Gordon and Thelma Cline Miller. On December 9, 1966, Paul was united in marriage to Carole A. Obert. Paul was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he worked for the Upjohn Co. as the machine shop supervisor for 16 years. After earning his business degree at Tennessee Temple University, Paul founded Sojourn Manufacturing and Engineering in 1981, which he owned and operated until his retirement. Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Carole Miller; eight children, Shirley David Polly of Minneapolis, MN, Ron Margaret Miller of Surprise, AZ, Linda Michael Zuverink of Kalamazoo, Jim Jody Newman of Comstock, Jacqueline Randy Sanderson of Guin, AL, Paulette Ronald Catchpole of Vienna, OH, Paul II Lorie Miller of Kalamazoo, Philip Liza Miller of Kalamazoo; seventeen grandchildren, Elly, Mark, Adam, Evan, Andrea, Matthew, Erin, Brandon, Casey, Jenna, Meggie, Nick, Brandon, Lauren, Alicia, Sophie, and Morgan; one great-grandchild, Jordan; sister, Nancy Harold Faverty of Hermintage, PA. Preceding him in death were a daughter, Anne; his father, Gordon Miller; mother, Thelma Miller-Jack; and one sister, Evelyn Shepherd. Funeral services for Paul will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Northeastern Baptist Church, 6536 E. G Avenue. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Wednesday at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Avenue. Private entombment will be in Mt.
