Kalamazoo, MI Passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014. Age 89. Patrick was born in Kalamazoo on April 13, 1925, the son of the late Virgil and Ida Santman Weaver. He served with the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed by Allied Paper Company for 18 years, Eaton Manufacturing for 10 years and retired from Service Master after 6 years of service. He was a past member of the Otsego Moose Lodge. He was an avid baseball fan, especially of the Detroit Tigers. He was married to Mary Ruth Friel Weaver on June 20, 1946; she preceded him in death on July 31, 2002. He is survived by three children, Pat Bev Weaver Jr. of Portage, Mike Weaver of Battle Creek and Brian Dawn Weaver of Portage; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Buck Kathy Weaver and Judy Rodehever. He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Weaver. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 South Burdick Street. A graveside committal service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park Chapel, 3941 South Westnedge Avenue, Kalamazoo, MI 49008, with military honors conducted by V.F.W. Post #6252. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Lung Association.
