Pamela K Hoppe

HOPPE, Pam Of Portage Passed away Friday, December 17, 2010 at Bronson Hospital. Pam was born July 22, 1946 in North Plainfield, NJ, and had lived in Kalamazoo since 1965. She was employed for over 20 years at Pfizer until her retirement in 2008. She was dedicated to her family and spending time with her grandchildren. Pam enjoyed her flower garden, waterfalls and crafts. She was a caretaker of cats and dogs in need. On May 7, 1977, she was married to James Hoppe and they formed a blended family. Surviving in addition to her husband, James is four children, Geoffrey Gernsback of Kalamazoo, Laurie Mike Neeb of Portage, Margo Mike Reilly of Alaska and Drew Jolene Hoppe of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; a sister Betty Lynn Mitchell and a brother Robert Mitchell. There will be no funeral service. A gathering of friends will be held on Monday, December 20th from 5-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre Ave. 343-1508. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in Pam's memory be made to the American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, or Friends of the Portage Senior Center.
