BAILEY, Oakley W. and Natalie H.
of Galesburg Oakley passed away Friday, December 9, 2011. Natalie passed away Monday, November 14, 2011. Oakley was born November 25, 1921 to the late Daniel and Lottie Pierce Bailey. Natalie was born January 5, 1922 to the late Harry and Hazelle Hall Jansen. Oakley and Natalie were married on January 12, 1941. Oakley was an Industrial Engineer for Clark Equipment for 38 years until his retirement and Natalie retired from Grants General Store in Galesburg. Surviving are their children, Norman Carol Bailey from South Haven and Karen John Scarbrough from Delton; grandchildren, Lisa Rick Browne, Kari Mark Brummel; step-grandchildren, Marcia Chris Boettcher, Ken Jan Fouts, Donna Kyle Green and Paula Scarbrough; 9 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; good friends, Randy Brenda Mason; and Hospice angels, Deb and Darci. Also surviving Oakley is a sister, Glenice Eversole. Also surviving Natalie is a brother, Carroll Jansen, Oakley and Natalie lost an infant daughter, Martha Bailey, shortly after her birth. Also preceding Oakley in death were siblings, Gerald Bailey, Wyla Fleming and LaVerne Bailey and preceding Natalie in death was a brother, Lewis Jansen. A memorial service will take place Saturday, January 7, 2012, 11:00 am at Galesburg United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at Gilson Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or to Galesburg United Methodist Church.
