OSWALD, Nourma B.
Of Kalamazoo Passed away Saturday evening, July 13, 2013. Nourma was born December 28, 1916 in Muskegon, MI the daughter of Bernard and Gladys Beall Stanley. She was an active member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church and worked for several years at Lee's Sporting Goods. Nourma was involved with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and enjoyed being a mom. On April 26, 1942 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, Clarence "Bud" Oswald, who preceded her in death on September 10, 1969. She is survived by her 2 sons, Keith Oswald, Paul Linnea Oswald; 2 grandchildren, Tonja Oswald, and Tyson Oswald; niece and nephew, Judith Kay and Bradford Oswald. Friends may meet the family Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 E. Centre and from 9:30-10:30 at church. A service to celebrate Nourma's life and Holy Eucharist will be at 10:30 am Thursday at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 929 E. Centre, with Rev. Bonnie Edwards officiating. Private family interment will be in South Portage Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans, or St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
