Neil went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, November 6, 2015 at the age of 89. He was born January 29, 1926 in Kalamazoo to the late Neil and Harriet (Hendriksen) Spitters, Sr. Neil was united in marriage to Muriel DeDoes on November 17, 1950, who preceded him in death in January of 2015. Neil is survived by his 4 children; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be Friday, November 13th, 9:00 am at Calvary Bible Church, 855 S. Drake Rd., Kalamazoo. Rev. Gordon P. Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the committal service at Ft. Custer should arrive in the funeral assembly area between 11:45 - 12:00. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street.
