LOHRBERG, Max L.
Of Galesburg Died January 26, 2011 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence with his family by his side. Max was born November 3, 1948 in Allegan, MI, a son of Bruce and June Bassett Lohrberg and lived most of his life in the Kalamazoo area. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was a member of the Climax American Legion Post # 465. Max was employed as Director of Finance at Kalamazoo Senior Services for 25 plus years. He was a follower of Climax-Scotts High School Athletics where he followed his son Kyle's activity in basketball, baseball and football. Max was preceded in death by his mother June Lohrberg in 1991. On September 17, 1988 he was married to Diane Willbur, who survives. Also surviving are a son Kyle Lohrberg of Galesburg; his father Bruce Lohrberg of Gobles; 2 sisters, Jonnie Bill Westcott of Bois Blanc Island, MI and Bobbie Jim Wilson of Gobles; many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 3:30 pm on Sunday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel 3926 S. 9th St. 343-1508 with John Willbur, Matt Jensen and Matthias Wells officiating. Private family interment will be on Monday at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Friends may meet the family on Saturday from 4-8 pm at the funeral home.
