Marlene Joyce Mechling passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at the age of 84 surrounded by her loving family. Marlene was born November 17, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Gertrude (Grant) Wolff. Marlene enjoyed knitting and was a gifted basket weaver. Marlene was united in marriage to Albert Mechling, Jr. on August 30, 1956, who preceded her in death on September 8, 2017. She is survived by her daughters, Kimberle (Tim) Stuut and Michelle Cheesebro; 4 grandchildren, Autumnlyn, Ashlee (Cory), Tyler (Liz), and Tayelor; 4 great-grandchildren, Graham, Fynn, Gage, and Alexandria; and 3 step great-grandchildren, Riley, Lilian, and Serie. A graveside service will take place Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Those desiring may make donations to Paralyzed Veterans of America P.O.
