Died Tuesday morning July 23, 2019. Marilyn was born November 29, 1933 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Wubbo and Catharina (Schiebergen) Schipper. She was a graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School and had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident. Marilyn also attended Texas Corners Bible Church. She was a wonderful and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Marilyn lived for her family and always put others first. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Robert G. Musselman on May 24, 2019; 2 sisters, Rena Penny and Wilma Koning; and a brother, Christopher Schipper. Marilyn is survived by 3 children, Mary (Robert) McKenzie of Kalamazoo, David (Laura) Musselman of Schoolcraft, and Robert (Sharon) Musselman of Scotts; 5 grandchildren, Angela Musselman, David Musselman, Ryan (Courtney) Gage, Kristin Musselman, Juliet (Brock) Sweeter; 2 step grandchildren, Jennifer Schuemake and Robert McKenzie; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jean (Herman) Visker and Carol Schipper; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11 o'clock Monday, July 29th at Texas Corners Bible Church, 7780 S. 8th St. Visitation will be 1-4pm Sunday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St. Kalamazoo, MI 49009 and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Private interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or to Texas Corners Bible Church.
