Marilyn passed away on Tuesday evening, December 13, 2016 at her home. She was born on January 19, 1930 in Three Rivers, MI, the daughter of Bayard and Agnes (Schuck) Taylor. Marilyn was employed by Kalamazoo Regional Psychiatric Hospital for 24 years until her retirement. She enjoyed shopping in Shipshewana and at garage sales. Marilyn was an animal and nature lover who enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds. She also loved her plants and flowers. Surviving are four children: Shannon (Robert) Peckhem of Richland, Stephen (Sandra King) Spence of Kalamazoo, Wendy (Chuck Wakeland) Wheeler of Kalamazoo, Bradley Spence of Kalamazoo; close family friend: Robert Walls of Portage; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her son: Scott Spence; husband: Arthur E. Currier; parents; and sister: Virginia Shumway. Visitation will be from 10am-12pm on Monday, Dec. 19, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to West Michigan Cancer Center.
