Marilyn D. Bower

Passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014; with her family at her side. Marilyn was born in Kalamazoo on January 22, 1943, the daughter of the late Russell and Mary Ruth Rankin Miller. She was united in marriage to David E. Bower on October 27, 1961 for a loving 52 years together; he preceded her in death on February 14, 2014. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister and Friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a dog lover and enjoyed crocheting and counted cross-stitch. In the most recent years she was a Facebook /Facebook game junkie; you would almost never see her without her ipad. Marilyn is survived by her children, Darin Bower, Darcy George Campbell and Rhonda Jason Clark; grandchildren, Krystal Brian, Kayla, Matthew, Andrew and Alyssa; great grandchildren, Julianna, Lexi, Braydon, Kayden and James; three brothers, Robert Lois Miller, Paul Nancy Miller, and Ronald Linda Miller; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Tyler Esman-Bower; her twin-sister, Maggie Thompson and her brother, Roy Miller. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
