formerly of Kalamazoo, MI Died Friday evening December 12, 2014 in Sturgis, MI. Mabel was born September 1, 1919 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Ross and Violet Mae Roberts Bussard. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed with the Kalamazoo State Psychiatric Hospital for over 12 years before retiring. Mabel was also a member of the Parchment United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald N. Yeckley on August 13, 1995; and a sister, Rowena Adams. Mabel is survived by 2 sons, Richard Kathleen Yeckley of Sturgis, MI and David Connie Yeckley of Virginia; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and a niece. Services will be held 1 o'clock Wednesday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Private interment will be in East Cooper Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
