Formerly of Kalamazoo Triumphantly entered into eternal glory, Tuesday morning, December 6, 2011 after gracefully enduring a ten year struggle with dementia. She was born May 29, 1923 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Harry and Wilhemina Ebelink VanHoe. Lucille was a life member of the Bethany Reformed Church where she was a volunteer and active in the women's guild and circle. On August 13, 1947 she was united in marriage to her loving husband of 64 years, Ernest Voss, who survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Karen Neal VanVeen of Otley, IA, Nancy William Gezon of Holland; 5 grandchildren, Lisa Tim Mroz, Jessica Andy Bourgeois, Julie Dave Ornee, Janna Nick Pierson, Angela VanVeen and fiancé Kyle Kreeger; great-grandchildren, Willa Pierson and Evy Mroz; sisters and brothers, Frances VanHoe of Portage, Donald VanHoe of Kalamazoo, Lois Johnson of Portage; sisters-in-law, Kay VanHoe of Kalamazoo and Gertrude Voss of Holland; and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by a brother, Harold VanHoe. Lucille's family is grateful to the staff at Oak Crest Manor of Holland for their loving care this past year. Services will be held at 11:00 o'clock Monday at the Bethany Reformed Church, 1833 S. Burdick, with Rev. Dr. Robert Terwilliger officiating. Friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-4pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery following a luncheon at the church. Memorials may be directed to Bethany Reformed Church, or to the Alzheimer's Research Program at the Mayo Clinic.
