Linda Jean Grunwald

Born September 29, 1951 to Hans and Jean Grunwald, Linda died on July 26, 2021. One of Linda's proudest achievements was her ability to serve 11 years in the US Navy after overcoming scoliosis. When Linda was discharged in 1986, she continued her service working as a civilian for the VA in Atlanta, Georgia.

She moved to Portage in 2005 after her retirement. Linda was also an accomplished artist. After her move to Michigan, she spent most of her free time making greeting cards for friends, family, and acquaintances.

Linda is survived by her sister, Cathy (Michael) Tyson; her niece, Julia (Dale) Moore; and her great-niece and nephew Jordan (Jarrod) Blundy and Gavin Moore.

A visitation will be held Tuesday August 3 from 2-4 pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 411 East Centre Ave. in Portage, Michigan. On Tuesday, August 10 at 4:00, a small graveside service will be held in section J of Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing, Michigan.
