Linda Inara Carlson

Linda Inara Carlson, of Kalamazoo, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She was born in Riga, Latvia, the only child of Arturs and Elma (Kirulis) Volfarts. Linda was a resident of Kalamazoo since 1950 and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and Western Michigan University. Her husband of 50 years, Andrew R. Carlson, predeceased her in 2010. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Carlson and Thomas Dietz; and son, Andrew Carlson. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue or the SPCA of Southwest Michigan.
