Lena C. (Glas) Hartman

Passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the age of 91. Born January 8, 1929 in Kalamazoo to Henry and Bertha (Balkema) Glas. She worked at WMU as a registrar's office clerk and prior to that, was employed at Cork Lane D&C for 28 yrs. Lena was a member of Grace Christian Reformed Church and enjoyed bowling, knitting, volunteering at 2nd Impressions, and adored dogs. Surviving are five children; Jimmy (Brenda) Hartman, Thomas (Lynn) Hartman, Richard (Terri) Hartman, Susan (Dan) Slager, Betty Luchies; 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law Russ Luchies, brother and sister-in-law John (Lucille) Glas, and sister and brother-in-law Grace (Henry) Vandestreek. A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at 11:00 am at Grace Christian Reformed Church 1724 Whites Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49008. Private interment will take place at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park South. Memorial donations can be made to either Hospice Care of Southwest MI, Grace Christian Reformed Church, or Samaritans Purse in memory of Lena.
