Larry Wayne Nufer

Larry Wayne Nufer, 70 of Kalamazoo, passed away at Borgess Hospital on July 10, 2023. He was born on December 11, 1952, to the late Wesley and Jennie (Verbeek) Nufer.

After high school, Larry dutifully served in the United States Army earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Larry enjoyed metal detecting in recent years, and his pellet gun and hunting for squirrels with it. He recently became interested in making his own lead pellets and loved to learn all he could about his hobby.

Larry is survived by his siblings Tim Nufer, Jim Nufer, and Judi Schonacher; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Larry will be laid to rest will full military honors at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
