Kenneth G. Van Den Berg

Ken Van Den Berg passed away peacefully on April 3, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born February 4, 1946 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Anthony and Janet Sikkema Van Den Berg. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War era. He worked for Migala Carpet for 19 years and then owned and operated Gobles Home Furnishings, for 25 years. On August 20, 1971, he married Cindy Kuiper, who survives. Ken is also survived by his brothers, Dave Anne Van Den Berg, Henry Gert Van Den Berg and Cal Beth Van Den Berg; his sisters, Margaret Brussee and Doris Jerry Wolthuis; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Dewey Van Den Berg. The family will receive friends at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., on Tuesday, April 7, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. and on Wednesday, April 8, from 9:30 AM until service time of 10:30 AM. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the West Michigan Cancer Center or a charity of your choice.
