of Portage, MI Died Tuesday evening July 19, 2011. Kathleen was born January 24, 1958 in Battle Creek, Michigan. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident for 30 years and was employed with the Kalamazoo Christian Schools Association. Kathleen also attended the Valley Family Church. On January 14, 1978, she was united in marriage to Ronald J. VanHoe who survives. Also surviving, a son, Gregg VanHoe of Portage; her mother, Linda Conklin of Kalamazoo; a brother, R.T. Yvonne Ronk III of San Diego, CA; her mother-in-law, Katherine VanHoe of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Private services will be held at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Private interment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Society.
