formerly of Kalamazoo Katharine A. Boehlke, 89, of Acworth, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Monday September 5, 2011. Mrs. Boehlke was a lifelong resident of Kalamazoo, where she retired from Kalamazoo Regional Psychiatric Hospital in 1990. After the loss of her husband in 1995, she moved to Georgia to be near her son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Murl. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church in Marietta, GA, where she enjoyed her Sunday school class so very much. She also enjoyed singing in the Choir and going to Eastwood's extended services at nursing homes to play the piano as long as she was physically able. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Boehlke and two sisters, Arleta Banner and Thelma Hess. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Murl Boehlke of Acworth, GA; 4 grandchildren, Donna Parker, Susanne Guimond, Chris Smith and Matt Boehlke; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 10th from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street. Funeral Services will be Saturday September 10th, at 1:00 PM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery.
