Karen A. Hoyt passed away peacefully on April 9, 2021. She was born July 29, 1943 in DuBois, Pennsylvania to parents Dominic and Magdaline (Glashaukas) Good. Karen graduated from DuBois Area High School in 1961. She was self employed most of her life and ran her own cleaning business, but later in life after retiring, she worked on repairing electronic equipment. Karen was active with the Kalamazoo West Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and attended meetings regularly and shared her hope with others from the Bible. Much of her life she enjoyed roller skating, bike riding, traveling to Pennsylvania and Upper Michigan, and she loved to garden. She also greatly enjoyed time with her friends and family. Karen married David A. Hoyt on September 27, 1997, and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Mabie; and brother, Donald Good. She is survived by her children, Kerry (Mike) Tigchelaar of Kalamazoo, and Norm Hannawell of Vicksburg; one grandson, Evan Tigchelaar; and siblings, Gail Good of DuBois, PA, Pete Good of DuBois, PA, and Mary Beck of Reynoldsville.
