STEVENS, Julia A.
Of Comstock Passed away Saturday evening, September 24, 2011 at her residence, with her family by her side. Julia was born April 22, 1946 in Battle Creek the daughter of Richard and Theron Hallock Smith. She worked for several years at the Ritzee restaurant in Battle Creek. Julia was a member of the Comstock TOPS; and a life member and past president of the Augusta-Custer VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed doing genealogy research. On May 14, 1977 Julia was united in marriage to her loving husband, Dave Stevens, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Dawn Murphree, Julie David Glenn, Bill Whitman, Joyce Darin Stevens, Andy Angela Stevens, Lynda Bob Markus; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Amber Smith, Mary Oscar Chantrenne, Kathy Roger Golyar, Susan Banks-Carnell, Robert Smith, Charles Holly Smith, Ritchie Faye Smith, Donna Banks, and many nieces and nephews. Julia was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers and 2 sisters, an infant brother Richard, Richard J. Smith, Judy Banks, and Donna Harris-Eakins. Services will be held at 11:00 o'clock Tuesday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Comstock Chapel, 6121 King Highway. Friends may meet the family on Tuesday from 10-11 before the service.
