Passed away on Wednesday April 4, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center. Age 59 years. Judy was born in Kalamazoo on January 24, 1959, the daughter of the late Billy E. Longenecker and Dorothy J, (Pufpaff) Dean. She worked with her father at Merchants Publishing Company for three years, Shell gas station in Fennville, McPherson's and Parker Hannifin Company for two years. She was a former member of Open Door Worship Center in Fennville. She enjoyed reading, movies, arts and crafts, and playing games on the computer. She was very proud of her Indian Heritage. She is survived by her daughter, Holly (Tim Bleeker) Derksen; two stepchildren, Amber (Bobby) Masopust and Jesse (Crystal) Derksen; seven grandchildren, Savannah and Aiden, Danielle, Jesse Jr, and Cooper, Isaac and Bobby; her siblings, Teresa Ward, Patty Vanderklok, Susan Stewart, Billy Longenecker, and Matt Longenecker. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Brandon; and siblings, Russell Longenecker and Billy Dean. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007, officiated by Pastor Dale Scholten. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 12 pm until time of the service. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Labre Indian School.
