COMPTON, Joshua W. of Kalamazoo, Michigan Died peacefully Tuesday morning July 29, 2014 after an evening surrounded by friends and family. Born April 30, 1984 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Brenda Middleton. Lifelong Kalamazoo resident, was a four year Cancer Warrior. He had a passion for working on cars, gardening and disc golf. Had recently become a proud homeowner. Survived by mother Brenda Middleton Tiefenthal; a father Frank M Tiefenthal; a brother Jason Tiefenthal; a sister Michele Adam Britton; nephew Aaron Britton; longtime girlfriend Rachel Wiedmayer and his beloved dog Harley. Survived by grandparents Aaron and Jeanne Middleton; Frank L Tiefenthal; Doug Sipsma and Max Brown, aunts, uncles and cousins. Preceded in death by grandmothers Gerri Locke, Lois Compton, Beverly Tiefenthal; grandfather Melvin Compton. Service to be held Wednesday, August 6th, 11:00 am at North Park Reformed Church, 1316 Barney Road, Kalamazoo Township, MI 49004. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
