Kalamazoo On Friday, January 2, 2015, John was called to his eternal home by his Lord and Savior. John was born May 19, 1933 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Jacob and Adriana DeWolf Klok and was a lifelong resident of the Kalamazoo area. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army and worked for the Upjohn Company as an architect for 29 years, before retiring. On September 16, 1955, he married Nancy Rhem, who survives. John is also survived by their children, Kevin Suzanne Klok of Holland, Mark Anne Klok of Kalamazoo and Lynn Jim Eickhoff of Cincinnati, OH; 7 grandchildren; a brother, Ken Kathy Klok of Parchment; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday TODAY at the Centerpoint Church, 2345 N. 10th Street from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of the church, with Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Porte, officiating. A private burial at Ft. Custer will take place. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Centerpoint Church Building Fund or the Salvation Army.
