John Earl Hill

John Earl Hill, 79, of Otsego, passed away on August 28, 2022.

He was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on November 6, 1942, to Earl and Lillian (Beach) Hill. John owned and operated Hill's Body Company in Kalamazoo for over 30 years. He was an automotive enthusiast and enjoyed playing golf.  On May 14, 1971, he was united in marriage with Phyllis (Dutton) Hill.

John is survived by his children, John Robert Hill, Jeffrey Lee (Tracy) Hill, Tammy Kay (Jerry) Fulbright, and Michelle Gazley; six grandchildren, Shannon Rogers, Megan Hill, Shane (Ashley) Hill, Chad Rogers, Kristin (Rodney) Middaugh, Jasmine Hill; thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Charlie, Jim, Michael, Jeanne, and Marion Hill.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Hill; and his parents, Earl and Lillian Hill.

Friends may visit with the family from 10 – 11 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 622 S. Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. in the funeral chapel. John’s cremated remains will be interred in Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date.
