John Crim, 82, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018. He was born February 20, 1936 to the late Howard and Doris (Howlett) Crim. John was united in marriage to JoAnne Bradford on December 23, 1968. She preceded him in death on June 1, 1998. John was a longtime and very active member of Bethel Baptist Church. He worked as a Product Liability Specialist at The Upjohn Co. for all of his career until he retired. He enjoyed bird watching, singing and gardening. John is survived by his children, Cecily (Peter) Bierlein and Laurel (Patrick) Huff; 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Evan, Isabelle and Harrison; siblings, Winifred (Paul) Enyart and Ruth Whittum; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Corwin Whittum. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, September 12th from 5:30-7:30pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, where a funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 13th, 12:00pm. A private interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Galesburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Bethel Baptist Church Missions fund.
