Died Sunday morning February 24, 2019 at his residence. Johannes was born May 22, 1957 in Uithuizen, The Netherlands a son of Jan and Kina (Klooster) Wagenaar. Johannes had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1961 and was employed with the Burroughs Corporation for over 40 years before retiring. Johannes was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by 2 brothers, Gus (Jill) Wagenaar of Lincoln, CA and Nicholas (Ruth) Wagenaar of Kalamazoo; 3 sisters, Anne Wagenaar of Kalamazoo, Janna Wagenaar of Allegan, and Melissa Rice of Portage; 3 aunts; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may meet the family 5-7pm Friday, March 1st at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th St. Private burial will take place at a later date.
