Kalamazoo, MI Died Sunday afternoon November 15, 2009. Joan was born February 24, 1919 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Frederick and Katherine VerSluis Norg. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Peter Vander Kley on March 14, 1999; 2 brothers, Mike and John; and 2 sisters, Jean and Anne. She is survived by 2 sons, Paul Charlene Vander Kley of Kalamazoo and Jack Cindy Vander Kley of Mendon; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy Hubert of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial Mass will be offered 11 o'clock Tuesday, November 24th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Lake Street. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Arrangements were made by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S.
