Formally of Kalamazoo, MI Mr. Jesse Robert Staley, age 34, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014 at Sparrow Hospital Lansing, MI. Jesse was born in Kalamazoo, MI on April 13, 1980 to Steve Staley and Sheila Beilby. Jesse attended high school in Kalamazoo and also took classes at Kalamazoo Community College. After high school Jesse was blessed by the birth of his three beautiful children who became the center of his universe. He loved riding his motorcycle, spending time with his children, girlfriend, family and friends. He was loved more than he ever realized and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving children, Haley, Jesse, and Makayla Staley of Kalamazoo, MI; stepchildren Zachary Bozell, and Patricia Cole; his deceased mother Sheila Lassitter Beilby and stepfather Larry Beilby, and father Steve Staley of Gobles; step parents Scott and Shawda Larose of Kalamazoo; his loving girlfriend Nicole Lachapelle; his sister and brother-in-law Shyla and Jim Sutton; sisters Chelsea and Brittney Staley; brothers Jacob and Joey Gillard, Travis and John McPherson, Justin Nelson, Ben Staley; his aunt Sandra Lassitter and several other aunts and uncles; his nieces Shyla Buck and Alexis Sutton, Anna Belle, Sienna, Macyanne; nephews Larenzo, Joey; cousin Hunter Lassitter and several other cousins and numerous friends. Friends may visit with the family from 12 - 1 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where the funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family.
