Loedeman, Jeannette Margaret
of Kalamazoo, Michigan Passed away at her home on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the age of 90. Jeannette was born in Kalamazoo on May 27, 1924, the daughter of the late Jacob and Gertrude Meyer Loode. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1942 and received her Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University in 1946. She was a high school teacher at Mendon High School for one year, Schoolcraft High School for two years and retired from Mattawan High School after 21 years. She was married to Gerald F. Loedeman on March 30, 1949; he preceded her in death. She is survived by four children, Carolyn Mike Ashcraft Loedeman of Ohio, Frank Michelle Loedeman of Kalamazoo, Darlene Tobey Flamm of Arizona and Jean Jim Morrison Loedeman of Texas; ten grandchildren, Porsha Scott Osborne, Keith Loedeman, Nick Loedeman, Ian Walters, Kailee Walters, Carrie Kevin Edwards, Chad LaBrie, Jeff LaBrie, Kirk Flamm and Mandi Morrison; eight great-grandchildren; and two nieces. Jeannette was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister-in-law, Garrett Maryann Loode and Carlos Loode; and one nephew. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 30 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 until the time of the memorial service.
