Portage Passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at Sue's Loving Care Adult Foster Care. Age 85. She was born on October 22, 1928 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Elliot and Margaret Chapman Peterson. She retired from Redwood and Ross Men's Clothing Store. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling. She was married to Robert Foster on September 7, 1957; he survives her. She is also survived by two children, Bradley Susan Foster of Jacksonville, FL and Jane John Van Liere MacRitchie of Portage; four grandchildren, Lucas and Clayton MacRitchie, Robert and Thomas Foster; two brothers and two sisters, Dale Peterson of Wisconsin, Marian Peterson of Wisconsin, Dorothy Richard Schwankl of Wisconsin, Daniel Wava Peterson of Wisconsin; her sister-in-law, Lois Peterson of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers, Marjorie Olson, David Peterson and Elliot Peterson Jr. There will be no service. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. Entombment of cremated remains will take place later in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or Sue's Loving Care Adult Foster Care.
